You have three choices. You decide which one is right for the current sale. The choices are:
- Show the existence and all terms, including price, of offers from other buyers and buyer agents.
- Show the existence and all terms, except price, of offers from other buyers and buyer agents. The price of offers other than your own will be hidden.
- Hide the existence of other buyers and buyer agents. The price and non-price terms of all other offers will be hidden.
Your choice will depend on what the seller agreed to in the listing agreement. You should also consider the seller's risk preferences and type of home.
- If a home is not very unique, like tract housing or a condominium, you may consider showing price and terms of all offers. This may and often does facilitate active competition among buyers.
- If the property is unique, you may wish to show the existence of other offers and their terms, but not the price.
- If you believe that blind offer submission will benefit the seller or the seller demands blind offer submissions, you can hide all information about competing offers.
