You have three choices. You decide which one is right for the current sale. The choices are:
- Show the existence and all terms, including price, of offers from other buyers and buyer agents.
- Show the existence and all terms but price of offers from other buyers and buyer agents.
- Hide the existence and terms of offers from other buyers and buyer agents.
Your choice will depend on what the seller agreed to in the listing agreement, but also on the seller's preferences and the type of home. If a home were not very unique, think tract housing or a condominium, you may consider showing price and terms of all offers. This may and often does facilitiate active competition among buyers. However, if the property is unique, you may wish to show the existence of other offers and their terms, but not the price. If you believe that blind bidding is advantageous, you may wish to hide everything.
